Need for Speed II: SE (1997) is still a high-octane arcade-style racing game that epitomized a generation of exotic car dreams with its lightning-fast pace, vibrant tracks, and a feeling of pure automotive spectacle. The Special Edition improvement introduced split-screen multiplayer, a new track (Mysteryland), and enhanced visuals with dynamic weather effects, including rain-slick roads that subtly altered the driving character.
