WWE​‍​‌‍​‍‌ 2K19 was acclaimed by most as a ‘return to form’ for the series, which conveyed the most refined and the most content-rich wrestling simulation ever by primarily concentrating on refined gameplay balance and player-friendly mechanics. Fundamentally, the game experience revolved around a completely rebuilt gameplay engine with which the matches’ speed and fluidity were dramatically increased, the animations became smoother, and the controls more responsive, thus every hit, grapple, and reversal gave the player a feeling of being impactful. This story-based career mode documented the rise of your created superstar from the indie circuit to WWE main event and featured a line of characters, spoken dialogue, and choices that had an impact both on your relationships and on the direction of your career.

The game also featured a very popular mode, “2K Towers,” which included a variety of difficult challenges, such as the “Mr. McMahon’s Million Dollar Challenge” and character-related towers telling unique stories that provided a novel single-player experience away from ordinary matches.
