Call of Duty Advanced Warfare takes the traditional military shooter and completely changes the way you play with the use of a high-tech exoskeleton that provides unprecedented speed, verticality, and tactical freedom. Players are thrust into the metal-covered shoes of Jack Mitchell, a former Marine who has been recruited into the private military corporation Atlas and is equipped with the revolutionary Exo Suit that is the main innovation of the game and allows you to perform boost jumps, quick dodges, and powerful ground slams. The campaign throws you into fights with biomechanical soldiers, cloaked enemies, and drone warfare shortly, and these battles are set-piece scenes such as mid-air vehicle takedowns and zero-G explosive breaches.

Multiplayer takes the series’ fast-paced action to a new level with Exo Abilities—temporary boosts like invisibility, hover movement, and energy shields—while maps are designed for vertical domination, rewarding players who master exo movements. Instead of the old loadouts, the Pick-13 system allows players to customize their weapons, perks, and scorestreaks all in one flexible blueprint. Exo Survival mode is a co-op feature where players can go up against waves of enemies with added abilities.

The Supply Drop system is now the place where random weapon unlock progress are brought in, almost like in an RPG.
