Need for Speed The Run is a thrilling, lightning-fast racing adventure that combines the high-octane action of the game with the cinematic storytelling and survival gameplay. The leading player role is Jack Rourke, who is a racing driver on the run and has to win a deadly underground race from San Francisco to New York, where every mile is a battle to be the first against his rivals, the aggressive police, and the rugged terrain. The game’s Autolog 2.0 system is very interactive and constantly monitors your progress, and it compares your best times with those of your friends. The QTE Escape Sequences also allow you to make rapid decisions avoiding falling bridges, running away from avalanches, and going through the opposite traffic in the Hollywood-like scenes.

The race covers a distance of over 300 kilometres, which is full of various environments, from the very hot desert highways to the icy mountain passes, each one requiring different driving tactics and adjusting to the weather in real-time. The Battle for Position mechanic turns every overtaking move into a strategy game, where opponents will not hesitate to use all the dirty tricks to eliminate you if they want to keep their place.

A combination of exotic supercars and rugged muscle machines makes each vehicle different in handling during extreme conditions, and damage is not only cosmetic—blown tires or engine failures can end your Run permanently.
