Forza Horizon 1 definitely made the best use of its excellent driving mechanics by wrapping them up in the immersive, sun-drenched, and slightly crazy Colorado Horizon Festival, where the gameplay was not only about pure racing but also about getting famous as a cultural icon. The open world was not just an extensive area to play, but a day-night cycle, and the in-game Horizon Radio with its changing and lively tracks, governed a vibrant playground. Thus, every trip across the country was like a scene from a road trip movie.
